Disappointment

Disappointment is a lousy feeling.
It's like a steel knife in your windpipe.

It's like, when you have a certain expectation of something that's going to happen, and in the end, it doesn't happen.

And it is something, that you were actually looking forward to.
But in the end, it doesn't happen.

Horoscopes & Zodiac signs

Are you dating a Virgo?

As a rule, a Virgo is attracted to someone who possesses good conversation skills. They love to talk and surround themselves with friends who are even-tempered, nonchalant, and intellectually stimulating. If you are planning a date with a Virgo, try and avoid noisy places, especially with lewd or obscene entertainment. The Virgos' reserved nature and insistence of good taste means they would get more pleasure from a quiet restaurant with soft music playing in the background than from a rock concert. They would prefer a place where the two of you can talk. You will probably find the Virgo to be very interesting and be able to discuss almost anything with them. However, don't be in a hurry to jump right in and ask too much about their personal affairs, since they may find it to be an intrusion of privacy.

It is a rare occurrence for a Virgo to hand out praise, so if you are looking for constant flattery, you may want to keep looking. While on the contrary, if you are looking for advice or an opinion on a certain matter, the Virgo will gladly participate. Virgos are careful planners and are constantly seeking personal achievement and financial security. They won't put up with frivolous spending habits and won't jump into a serious relationship without looking ahead first. Most likely they are seeking a partner with practical ambitions exactly like themselves. Once the Virgo has found someone worthy to share their life with, they will always be loyal and provide plenty of happiness. This responsible, sensitive, and intellectual person takes love very seriously. Although they may appear aloof and distant at times, they are very sensual and warm people. If you win them over, you will be more than rewarded with a prosperous and memorable life with them.

Well some are true about my Virgo, some are hmm, not really. Im not very leo myself so, sometimes it's just good to have a guide in knowing the person u love, but not really base your assumptions and thoughts on that.
Or in finding yourself, sometimes reading my own horoscope makes me realise what sort of a person i am too.

*****

Tiger + Tiger

Tigers might initially be very attracted to each other, but the excitement can quickly wear off. When things are going well, the tigers' fiery natures can make for a passionate and wild relationship. During down times - which can come about when the tiger starts to itch for more independence - tigers will not last together. They find it difficult to build stability together, and will quickly spend their savings together. Tigers share too many domineering characteristics to build a happy partnership.

Horoscopes are just guides. How you choose your way, your thoughts can be based on horoscopes personalities, but sometimes it can be all different.
So don't be too obsessed with misguided horoscope readings at times!

Time to start packing my luggage!!

4 more days to my 3rd Phuket trip this year!!

This time round will be my first trip with Sweetie Tan and her bf, Andre!
Im excited to meet Giel again, and he's taken 2 full days of off to spend with me!
That's considering him just starting on his full-time job already, so yes i'm thankful and happy with that!

This trip i don't aim to shop much, but just relax, enjoy, eat, massage, pedicure etc
All in all, quality time together with my love. :)

I hope it doesn't rain when we are there. Looking forward to island hop with Mindre too! Khai island is really beautiful, hope to explore it!

Photobucket

It's funny now everyone is asking me for phuket trips.
Bryan is going with Swan in december.
Jasmine thought of going in january on a lesbo trip; just 2 of us.

Well i'll see how!

I really wanna go in April because of the songkran period and to get my diving license!!

BUT.......

I just remember that my Licentiate exam will be in May/June.
I don't think i'll be able to go........ :(

The Phuket Return

Just when i thought Giel was just an online infactuation, i sought advices from my close friends and they all urged me to go know him better.
So 1 fine night, when i was missing him so much, i just clicked on jetstar's website and saw sale tickets right after my birthday!

Without further ado, i booked right away after a few days of consideration and discussion.
All the way to phuket, just to date a guy.

WOW.

Talk about milestones hmmmmmmmm hahaha.

Well in the end, Angela joined me on this impulsive trip just a week away only. We got a 5* hotel (Burasari Resort) right smack in Patong which is awesome and it has free wifi! Even better! All thanks to Claudia dear for reccomending this hotel. :)

So we went to work first on the wednesday we were supposed to leave, along with all our luggage. That alone was exciting.
Isn't it exciting to drag your luggage to work and then wave to everyone and make a grand exit while they're still at work?? Hahahaha it was hmm, literally saying bye to work.

Photobucket

So train ride all the way to Terminal 1, had some pie and shared a drink, and off i went into duty-free.

Well we nearly missed our plane due to shopping at duty-free. We RAN like mad with our luggage!! It was hilarious, my shorts were almost dropping, about to expose my undies any moment and there i was lugging the damn bag.

It was waaaayyyyyy into Terminal 1, literally the end of it. And all because we were comtemplating whether to buy a Coach wristlet on sale -.-

Photobucket

So i reached Thai and surprise surprise! Someone is waiting for me at the hotel! Hmmmm, that's what he says at least. So checked in, laze around for a bit, changed and off to Magic Bar for our 1st night party.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Giel introduced us to Darren & John. Englishmen and Russian dude respectively. Bunch of funny guys. We had good time at Magic thanks to them.
Well Angela and i had fun time playing games ourselves and we were drinking on empty stomach without dinner at 11++pm!!
So tequilla after tequilla, followed by beer, lots of beer, and some other shit.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Lala, the bar-girl ;)

Photobucket

It was a great party out, got to know a few thai girls from the toilet and, well almost got conned into going to clubs with them.
John advised us NOT to leave with them so i was already drunk as well so back to the hotel we went.

Well, spent my 1st night vomitting by the great big white telephone to God.
Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Photobucket

Buffet breakfast was good but street food is always better still.

Photobucket

2nd day afternoon and i was having the runs this time round.
Not sure if its the alcohol or the spicy food hehehe. Boy i nearly died in the toilet.

Back to hotel to rest and Giel joined the snooze, after which we got ready for dinner with his sis, Christianne and her bf, Eddie from Holland.

Photobucket

It was a nice quiet dinner, somewhat awkward at a few times, but sure it was nice, having jokes and just talk at the table.

Wanted to party ourselves tonight but nope, Lala & i went shopping and walked back to Burasari instead.
Stayed up late and watch some horror show with Lala!!!! Gaaaaaa.

Managed to wake up for breakfast still and we set out early with plans to tan, massage and have a pedicure.

Photobucket

Tanning plan failed so just the 1 hour massage & pedicure.
Which is freaking cheap. Like $15 for each service.

Photobucket

Place looks sleazy and of course not some posh spa but it is good. I'M SO MISSING IT NOW!

Went to Jungceylong to walk around and bought some souveniers. After which we went to Wine Connection to look for Tik! She's working there! :D

Treated ourselves to atas food yummmmmm it was not too bad.

Photobucket

Tik gave us complimentary cakes & pie but we were too full to eat. So after somemore shopping, i brought them back to the hotel to wait for Giel to come over.
Was snoozing when he did. And we continued to snooze. Hahahhahaa!

Photobucket

Called for room service pizza and it was GOOD! Lip-smacking!

Giel had Mac for dinner brought over to Magic while Lala and i went to buy some Kebak. It was good too! Thai has pretty good yummy cheap food!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Yeap, Lala & John the alcoholic make a great couple. They kept losing at the jackpot game and all these tequilla shots are theirs. ;)

Photobucket

We ended up finishing the tequilla at the bar. Haa!! Darren the boss has to get more the next time we're there!

Photobucket

Photobucket

We were all pretty drunk except for me. I didn't drink much at all because i don't want to spend my last night in Thai by the white bowl right??

So happens a Thai minister is to be in town so all bars and nightspots has to close early, like 2am.

ON MY LAST NIGHT! Damn, we refused to leave Magic even when it was in total darkness we were still there.

In the end, we hopped onto their bikes and we went Galaxy. Some underground place that only the Russianman will know. So we continued our party till 5am?

Photobucket

The last day, was solely mad shopping and rushing no photos, but plently of kisses from him before i had to leave for the airport. :(
It was a short one. But we did got to know each other better.
I'm happy. And i know how important it is when u're in a relationship.

That's all that matters :)

HAPPYNESS

Thousands of miles apart, but we're all still under the same goregous bright moon tonight :)

***************

Have not been keeping up with my blog. In the first place i don't have the habit of blogging. Feel like just deleting this blog and continue my thoughts elsewhere but, yea even that, i'm also lazy.

In a blink of eye, it's already the end of August.

Let's look at what we got so far for this year.

No lost of weight?
No growth of savings?
No cooking experience?
Almost done with my exam songs?

But at the bottom of all, i'm feeling SO HAPPY!

I've never felt happier in my life before.
I'm loving this age.
I'm loving my girlfriends.
I'm loving my job (still). Ok, sometimes.
I'm loving my complexion.
I'm loving new experiences!
I'm loving my friends

Etc etc etc.

Life has been good so far in 2010.

I'm glad i've found love again.
It's a strange, uncommon love.
Something out of norm, something wild, something passionate, something carefree.

Well, we'll see how things goes :D

It continues in October! Super looking forward to it.

What I Would Tell My 16 Year Old Self

Few weeks back i read 8days magazine and they had a funny section on what would one tell one's 16 year old self, if they ever had a chance to pen it down in letter.

After reading 3 hilarious version of it, i decided to come up with my own version of mine just for laughs.

*****

Dearest Me,

You'll be surprised but your acne will actually eventually clear up. Be a good girl and ask mummy dearest to invest in SKII much much earlier so that your skin will clear waaayyyyyy faster.

Secondly, do not jump into your first relationship! Seriously honey, wait a bit longer and u'll end up with a 2nd better.
But don't be too serious in that, because he'll end up breaking your heart real bad.

And guess what! You actually became a music teacher! And you should actually jump at the chance to go Aussie to study music when your dad offered it to you after Poly! Bad news is you're gonna do badly for your music O'levels so please study really hard for it.

And sweetheart, please don't bother to even go down to MOE for the interview to be one of their selected fews to get the music scholarships to study then bond with them and be a MOE teacher.

You're never gonna believe this but u'll become a party animal! You better train up your drinking skills earlier and be more vain while u're still in your teens, not twenties for heaven's sake!!

Love lots xxx,
SM

My Detailed Awesome Phuket Trip

DAY 1:

We arrived at Budget Terminal at around 630am.
Had our Mac breakfast before checking in.

We realised Alan & I brought the same camera! Awesome! We shall all have pretty pictures!

Photobucket

Photobucket

After about an hour and 20 mins, we've reached Thailand!

Photobucket

On the way to the hotel, the cab driver stopped us at a tour company. We were at first apprehensive about it, but realised that they offer us most of the things we wanted to do in Phuket.

We arranged a diving trip for our 2nd day. And a Adventure trip on the 4th day. Alan has his 2nd diving trip (for advanced divers only) on the 3rd day.

Our discover diving trip cost about S$200. Diving equipments and attires are all provided as well as transport, lunch and boat.

Photobucket

Arrived at our hotel near Patong Beach, called Baumanburi.
Having not enough sleep the previous night, (Angela could actually watch movie at 1.30am and reached home at almost 4am) we napped for awhile till it's past noon and went out to look for food.

Streets nearby were good for shopping. But stores all had the same repeating stuffs. Angela is a very good bargainer we must all learn from. We reduced our sunglasses from 600baht, to 150baht.

The thai street people really jack the prices up. If u think the price doesn't justify or Singapore or other countries can be cheaper, bargain all you want!

Photobucket

I was pretty excited seeing how cheap booze is in Thai. It's heaven man. While having lunch, (it sucked) we couldn't help but order beer as well as juices.

Photobucket

We bought matching Singha singlets to don on as it was really SORCHING hot! Off we went to Patong beach! Really convenient and near our hotel.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We had some mouth-watering glass noodles in spicy soup, with meatballs by the road side. Gosh! It's heaven! Missing it now!
Made friends with tuk-tuk uncle, Som, he offered to bring us round on monday where we plan to go horse-back riding & shooting etc.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Washed up. Dinner. Continued shopping a bit.
Thought that nightlife was boring but we continued searching for some nightlife and TA-DAH! Our perserverance led us to Banana Disco! However we didn't go in and carried on exploring.

Photobucket

True enough our efforts paid off and we found BANGALA ROAD! Filled with nightlife and very happening.

Photobucket

Photobucket

As the next day we had to dive, thus we tried ending our night early. But being the party animals; Angela & Me, we got lured to this Exotica place that offers the infamous Tiger Show.

Photobucket

Upon entering, all we have to do is to buy a drink. And a bottle of beer cost 300 over Baht.

It's a circular stage, and surrounding it are tables and chairs for the curious audience.

On top the stage, scantily dressed girls/women are dancing by the many poles. Some expose their bikini tops. Some still keep it on. Most of them looked bored dancing. And i was bored looking.

We stayed on, however to wait for the more exciting parts.

After the awful dance, came an even worst performance. 3 girls getting it on, disgustingly.

Enough'said.

At long last, 2 older and probably the only ones that can perform tricks with their down-under, came out and one of them inserted sharp pins within them, lay down on the floor, aim and shot at some balloons.

W.O.W.

I can't remember the different sequence of the show. But they involved putting in live bird, and releasing it out again. And they do it again and again. It was sick.

A whistle blowing pussy.
A cigarette puffing pussy.
A ping-pong ball stuffing and aiming act.

Not the actual Tiger show that i heard frm my friends but some acts are identical and scary enough.

We took our 1st Tuk tuk ride back to the hotel and realised it was actually quite near.
I had trouble sleeping at the hotel for 2 nights.. Somehow, i just couldn't sleep no matter how tired i was.

DAY 2:

We woke up late and gobbled down our free American breakfast buffet. Quite awesome.
Our transport brought us to some beach area that i was too sleepy to take note of.

The boat brought us far out to Racha Yai island area and it was such a long journey. On the way we were given a prepped talk on how to operate, on what to look out for in the water, our different equipments etc etc.

Photobucket

It was quite alot of common sense but yet when we entered the water, gosh, it was scary at first when the pressure hit me.

We had to hold on to this rope attached to a rock on the sea bed and the boat. While inching down slowly, i was not used to breathing through the weird equipments and i started panicking!

I wanted to back out but i saw Angela coping fine, and i was like "Fuck it, i can do it too!" And i want to so badly! So i equalize myself, push all the pressure out and got used to the pressure the body is feeling.

Water is slightly cool, but not very cold.

We got to practice use of our equipments; releasing air, and pumping in air.
Then we had to kneel on the sea bed which i find fucking hard. How in the world do u kneel with flippers on??!

Hahahaha, that aside, i got slightly confused with the releasing and pumping in air thingy.

Slowly common sense kicked in.
Releasing of air = you'll sink lower
And Pumping in air = you'll rise.
Simple :)

Things i saw in my 1st dive! Water is very clear. Really clear. And if u scrutinise, you'll see really small tiny particles floating past you.

Photobucket

Now, being underwater, is a very quiet affair. All is strangely quiet. And you just hear your own breathing. It sounds exactly like Darth Vadar in his black armour, i kid you not.

A few times i was so fascinated being underwater and side by side among fishes i forgot to breathe! Hahaha.

We got back up after awhile and getting back up is always a bitch. I hate getting up because the current will keep pushing u away while u're trying to get back to the boat's rear.
And you'll be like paddling real hard while currents keep smashing and slamming you in the face, so it's still wiser to keep the mask on as water is really salty though crystal clear!

After some rest and relaxing sleep, it's time for our 2nd dive at a deeper location!

Photobucket

This time photographer/instructor Neil wanted us to jump off the boat and he'll take snap shots. Alan did the best looking jump!

We saw much more things in this 2nd dive but i preferred the 1st one as it was more colourful.
But 2nd dive was much longer and there was a moment when Neil grabbed Angela and me and suddenly there was a large deafenning boom from above. And horrified! We saw a boat started its huge-ass engine and moving off!

We could have floated to its propeller and .......

Gruesome.

Anyway we were pretty familiarised plus thanks to Alan's tips; to sink abit lower, there's no need to release air. Just hold on to your breath for just awhile and u'll automatically sink.

Alan was really helpful throughout. Just that i kept knocking and bumping into him and Angela. LOL! I can't see behind or above me ok! Hahahah and few times i felt some bubbling sensation below me, and then i saw Alan right below me! Hahahha.

Photobucket

There was this 1 time though, Angela bumped into my oxy tank real loud. A HUGE KUNK! I was startled! I quickly checked to make sure there's no hole! Else i'll have no oxygen!!

We went far away from our stationed boat. And Neil had to cast this SOS yellow flag to get the boat to fetch us. Getting up again was a bitch. GRrrrr really hate that. This time was worse! It's so hard to remove my flippers because it was a size smaller! Really struggled and alot of salty water got into me.

Back up the boat, my nose had some nosebleed. Not sure if it's the pressure or the water irritated my nose because my nose felt quite sore.

We had some food and drinks. But all i wanted was sleep.

Photobucket

It was super relaxing on our way back.
With our ears rather blocked, wind blowing in your face, with nothing on your mind, nothing at all, it was SO RELAXING and nice. Slept quite abit till Neil called us down to view the photos/videos he took.

And we paid 1000Baht for the cd to commemorate our 1st dive! :D

Photobucket

While hanging out in the cabin area, we made friends with a few other diver instructors. One whom got really close to me..
They're all tattooed, smokers, rebels, but so free-spirited and carefree in some ways! Reminds me of pirates :) envy their lives.

Photobucket

We propped our legs out, letting it dangle over the rail out into the sea. Amazing.
And i played "Jason Mraz's I'm Yours" on my phone. OMG Super heavenly!

It's definitely just a start for me. I can't wait to go get my open water license!
Then i can dive officially!

We had a ride back to our hotel and we made friends with this Japanese girl who came alone just to dive! Amazing!

We were freaking hungry so upon reaching the hotel we left for Patong again. Roaming for that goddamn good noodle stall! Alas we couldn't find it but we just walked around the shops.

In the night upon freshening up, it's time to PARTAAYYYY!
Bringing Alan out to club is a first time! Haa!

Photobucket

There were too many clubs; literally the whole street! So we checked out Hollywood and got a free drink. Next we checked Seduction and it was great! We bought shooters, baileys, long island tea, beers and more shooters!

The shooter platter was a good one but err it wasn't high enough for me and Angela.
We took good care of Alan, and as he had to dive the next day, he left first.

Well, Angela had a good time at the dancefloor ;)
It was good shit and we soon left and walked all the way back to our hotel with cup noodles!

THANKS TO THE ALCOHOL I COULD FINALLY SLEEP!

DAY 3:

As Alan went to dive, Angela and i checked out of our hotel, shopped but didn't buy anything from this major shopping centre in Phuket Town. We moved to another hotel in Phuket Town to check out the area too.

Whole day was wasted and we were dead tired. Soon we met up with Alan at our next hotel, washed up and off we go to the WEEKEND MARKET!

It's HEAVEN i tell you! A shopaholic's heaven!! Things are really cheap there!

Photobucket

Photobucket

We decided to go back the the next night.
And this is Alan's picture while out diving.

Photobucket

ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL?!

DAY 4:

Had to be up early again. This time for the adventure tour. Journey here and there, it was pretty long.

Photobucket

The tour includes:
1. Elephant show
2. Monkey show
3. ATV ride
4. Water rafting

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Being out in the country side of phuket is really nice, relaxing. There's alot of greenary and nature. I like :)

Photobucket

So night falls and back to the Weekend market we went. And we've made good friends with Tik & friends :)

Lovely bunch of Thais really. Friendly and sincere. They even send us back to our hotel when there was no more transport.

Photobucket

THIS IS THE WEEKEND MARKET!
Photobucket

And on my mind all this while, i was thinking about that particular diver whom i met on the boat. Alas he didn't give me his contact number..

DAY 5:

Horseback Riding was a pain to my arse.

Photobucket

That's pretty what the whole 1 hour ride on the horse was about.
Oh, and horses sweat!

Shooting.
I shot pistols and rifle. :D
Cool shit.

Som, another Thai friend we got to know, brought us to these attractions that we wanted to go. We booked him for a day and he brought us round and waited for us to be done each time. Nice bloke

Lastly, Temple.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Real peaceful. Calm.

Photobucket

Down the hill, Som stopped the tuk tuk and told us to take pictures here. It was an amazing photo-taking site.

Photobucket

Photobucket

And our last night in Phuket is partying again of course!
And on a MONDAY night baby! Hahahaha!

Photobucket

We made Alan high and tipsy. It was good LOL.
I was having the runs so yea, boring~

DAY 6:

Check out and home sweet home.
Slept like a baby on the plane.

It was a good trip. Singapore is really a clean and fine country. Thailand has its beauty too.

P.S I left my iphone charger in the hotel..........
