Chasing Vampires

My friends would know about my craze for vampires and the myths & legends about these wonderful beings.

It started way back since i watched shows like Blade, Van Helsing, Underworld, Interview with a Vampire etc.

It slowly evolved one day after reading Time Without End, by Linda Lael Miller.

Photobucket

I remember being so intrigued by this book, that was when, i really started my lust for vampire stories.

(This story tells a Vampire, named Valerian (what a nice name), who goes in search lifetimes after lifetimes to seek the same girl. But each lifetime, she mysteriously disappears after he found her. Talk about true love. Valerian doesn't age, so he just spends his years looking for her again and again, and each time he tries to solve the mystery on her disappearance.)

Since then, i've picked out other books on Vampires.
My still top list is:
1) The sookie stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris (the one the Mindy doesn't like, and now a hit in HBO as True Blood)
2) Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer
3) The Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands
4) Girls' Guide to Vampires by Katie MacAlister

Mind you, each series has a whole load of books under it.

To diversify to Vampire Mangas & Animes,
My top list is:
1) Vampire Knight
2) Karin, Chibi Vampire
3) Rosario the Vampire
4) Midnight Secretary

There's just something magical about them, be it imaginary, legendary or scary tales.
Beautiful they are, powerful they are, thirsty they are, and boy, they do thrill me.

To end this vampy post, i bring u, the Twilight lovely cast. :)

Photobucket
a rather cheesy one of them.

Photobucket

Virtual Addiction~

Hi, i'm Siumei.
And im a shopaholic.

I shop usually after long hours of work, or when i just see something irresistible.

I shop when im upset, or when i needed something to perk me up.

I shop when i see beautiful things that will set my heart flutter.

I shop when i thought i need it, but sometimes, i don't.

I shop when i see a good bargain.

.
.
.
.

I play a shopping virtual game.

Check it out! It's really fun!

Soft rolls of thunder set me zz-ing Part II

Ok, so the previous was about my trip.

Now that im back, i've been playing Restaurant City as usual.
I was --- when i saw that they added Cleaners into the game, as well as the WC into the game.

Pretty lame. But hilariously funny enough to make me print screen my shot of them using the bowl.

Photobucket

On the other hand, i was revamping my Restaurant so i wanted to change my tiles, and i didn't want to waste my game funds.
So i merely print screened it and use photoshop to change the tile colour to see if i liked it or not.

HAHA.

Photobucket

I decided i preferred the red and white tiles better though.

And who's this Yogi Bear tagging me?

I like Yogi Bear though. Since young i loved his cartoons!!

Freaking funny shit bear!

Photobucket

And ALWAYS HUNGRY!

Photobucket

Top 5 cartoons i loved when i was young: (in no particular order)
1. Scooby Doo
2. Yogi Bear
3. Road Runner & the Coyote
4. Warner Bros Gang (Tweety, bugs bunny, ETC)
5. TMNT

i know, pretty random.
Love my off days.
I can sleep the whole day!

Soft rolls of thunder set me zz-ing.

I had a ball of a time at HK, and naturally what's a 4day trip?
It's an exploration, not even a Holiday!

So ok i did enjoy my exploration. At first i was rather disappointed to the many raves of HK.

1. I didn't enjoy the shopping malls;
SG has as many international shops as they do.
eg. Cotton On, Body Shop, Zara, you name it WE have it as well.

And being international, the prices are the SAME.

So what shopping can we actually do in HK?

2. My hotel room was freaking small. I stayed at Dorsett Seaview, and every view i could see was the streets, the roads and the filthy alleys and such.
Place 2 luggages on the floor and there is barely space to walk.
Much less the rude hotel reception. *rolls eyes*

3. The hygiene level was pretty low. But what to do, since we crave for all the street food and cha chang ting. SG is really clean man!
On 1 account, Justin was just tucking into his pork chop rice i think, and housefly flew right into it, and it got fried and died.

:O

Enough of the bad accounts.
I still love HK and will want to go back there again!
Love the food
Love the weather loads! Its like aircon on the street!
Love to dress up while dancing to some RnB song
Love to explore and pretend i dont know cantonese
Love H&M
Love to gwak at the LANG ZAIs

Woo Hoo!

It was a good, but not fufilled YET trip.
Pictures will be added into this post when i have the time.

Ciao~

Bye SG, Helooo HK!

Bye everyone!
Love lots.

Love YS lots.

Games

Games are addictive things.

For the many months, i've been playing with mere facebook games, aka Sorority Life, Speed Racing, Restaurant City etc.

Of course due to the lack of time to play, and without any pc/internet connections at work, i get more intrigued to do so, and due so, am much slower than my other friends.

Over the weekends, i spent my whole saturday playing L4D (Left 4 Dead). Man, it was fun! There's a girl character for me even. And even better when we had the cheat com and dont even have to reload! Haha! Infinity ammo baby! Just kept firing away at the zombies!

Somehow i always end up shooting my own team-mates. Hahahah opps.
Anyway we spent $10 playing games the whole night lo. It was as good as watching a movie. But with much longer hours.

Last thurs, i learnt new things on MJ too! Julia and i kept wanting food. Haha! And Darren's house is like a chalet! I like the vintage antique chair; a lovely pink. Selena and i were the slower ones, but i think the next time we play, i will still be err, huh, is it this or that.

Yes i have a disability to think fast, or to read those poker faces on the table.

Till my next post, i'll be gaming.
Bye!

if i were a boy

If i were a boy, i would be all over the world actually.

There would be no constrains, no strings attached, all will be carefree and a good chance to see the world.

There's this exchange program offered, to work in the US, NZ etc. Its a short term of 6-12 months.

Interested parties can check out www.speedwing.org

Program Overview

As an au pair, your main responsibility is to take care of the children of your host family. Your job scope includes, but is not limited to, preparing meals for the kids, sending them to school or activities they participate in, playing with them, teaching and guiding them in their schoolwork if necessary, or driving them to play dates. Au pairs are required to do light house chores but only those that revolve around the children like doing their laundry, making their beds, cleaning up the table after they eat, and cooking for them if necessary.

You may be asked to work the maximum of 45 hours per week but no more than 10 hours per day for 5.5 days. You will get one-and-a-half day off per week and a full weekend off (Friday evening to Monday morning) once a month. You are entitled to 2 weeks paid vacation and an optional 30-day travel period at the end of your program.

Duration of Program

The program is for 12 months. You will have the option of extending your stay in the USA for 6, 9 or 12 months after that.

Isn't it cool? I really wish im a guy so i won't have to care and just leave to work with a couple of my homies. It's good exposure, good experience and once in a lifetime man!

I always have this wish to work where ever i travel, if i ever had the chance.
Say, go to Rome, i run out of cash, just work for a few months, and jet off to another destination again.

Just see the world man. It will be amazing.

Besides, being a guy i can get to dress like one!

Doing a Blair Waldorf

Min's birthday will be held at Dbl O, our homeground this saturday. And the theme will be a Blair Waldorf, from Gossip Girls.

Well, we can't possibly not do any homework without surfing the internet right?
And given my present state of unhappiness now, surfing fashion blogs and the likes, helps but still not able to put me into the lull of a proper sleep.

Lets just get on to the few other pics i've found on B:

i'm making a spell

Im making spells!

Dizzy spells!
That's what i have been getting into recently.
Hmm.. It doesn't help when my work environment consists of loud piano music in a room where it drives my head spinning even more.

Everything seems heavy, loud and noisy. And it seems like Windows media player's graphic keeps playing and spinning around when im out.

Photobucket

Anyway, matters of the heart is always complicated.
It can be endearing, it can be happy right down to your bones.
But it can tear u apart, kill your appetite and send u to the gates of gloom.

Sigh, i just love conference calls.

xoxo.

an addiction

I am a qualified CANTONESE NOW!!

Hahahhaa, i just learn my first game of Mahjong, the wonders of gambling, the incredible brain power and thinking speed, the nice clacking sounds made by the tiles, the tiles (mine) that looks yummilicious as though they're some Kaya/Pandan Kueh, the tense moment when each person KANG, the exciting moment when u ZHI MO, the exhilarating moment when u HU!

Weeee! I just managed to sum up everything i felt about the game. Haa, hooked man! Was playing with the girls from like evening to 1am? Kinda like it as just playing around, slacking, not moving much, eating, and enjoying time.

Mahjong khakis, anyone? :)

in need of 5 senses

Our 5 senses are very important.
Sight, Smell, Taste, Touch and Hearing.

All my senses are missing him..

Photobucket

Ok, i know, very BLAH.

Anyway, it's year 2009!! May all the bads be gone, the good remain, the lovely be remembered and the hatred be forgotten.

Let's state down the new year resolutions again shall we?

1. Save $$$
2. Travel
3. Sleep earlier
4. Take care of my health
5. Practice more piano

Saving money. Everyone needs to save. For rainy days, for any emergency, for any use. Being 23 (NOT YET THOUGH), it would be better for one to really start the stinge and save plan.

Photobucket

Would i be able to not buy unnecessary things?

Where, how and what will i be like in 3 years down the road? Will i still be pinning over a certain lost? Will i have recovered and enjoying a new love and heading a fine life?

The future is always scary to think of.

Travelling while u're still enjoying your youth is always the best. U have the zest in life, the energy to walk around, the interest to explore etc.
Travelling with your mates would be the best man. Anyone up for travels? =)

Photobucket

I've read about articles saying that when a person sleeps late, the body is unable to rest, the metabolism rate decreases, thus im getting FATTER because of possibly, my sleeping habits ?

Photobucket

Recently i have a couple of health problems worth looking over for. My nose is a concern. No, not the bridge or how it looks like. But rather, the nodes within are always swollen and thus im allergic to a whole load of things. It swells till it become really sore and painful. (Thats like within ok, not my nose swelling!)

Photobucket

My thumb is malfunctioning too. As a pianist, that's a worrying matter. And im really worried. Been to chinese sinseh, and few days later, there are some slight improvements, but still painful and swollen.

Sigh. I always have a health problem to worry about.

My parents want me to get my LTCL asap as dad would be retiring in maybe next year. The LTCL standard is equivalent to a final year grad's degree.
And of course the songs standards are high la. What the hell, damn hard can. DAMN! Anyway will practice hard as soon as MR. THUMB is better. =((

Photobucket

*****

Year 2008 was a downright emotional year for me.
I ended my 3 years relationship not because i loved him less, or he cheated on me, but he wasn't part of my life much and he didn't put any effort to be in it at all.
When we broke up, it wasn't because a lack of love, but a lack of attention from him.

Thinking back always, i really wonder is it a wise decision?
Why are we looking at each other like as though we're enemies when in the past, we could be lovers?

I've cried buckets full of tears over this guy. Still do.
I wish him luck for 2009, as well as my friends.

I wish myself, happiness, like i always asked for..
